This Saturday I’d love for you to join me for this special day retreat with my good friend Samamati (New Zealand)—and to share one last practice together before I leave Tokyo!
This retreat is a chance to deepen our meditation, reconnect with what truly matters, and cultivate the courage to be ourselves. Samamati brings a wealth of experience and a wonderfully down-to-earth approach, and I’m really looking forward to leading this retreat alongside him.
What to Expect.
The day will include a mix of teaching, meditation, interaction, and inquiry in a warm and supportive atmosphere. There may also be small breakout groups for deeper sharing.
We’ll break for lunch at 13:30 and eat together at a nearby restaurant before resuming at 14:45 and finishing at 16:30.
This retreat is for those already familiar with the Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana in the Triratna tradition.
Venue: Shinjuku Ward Toyama Lifelong Learning Center (新宿区立戸山生涯学習館)

Doors open at 10:00 | Start at 10:30 | Finish at 16:30
Cost: Free (donations welcome)
It would mean a lot to see you there and spend this final weekend in Tokyo together. Hope you can make it!
At the heart of this community is the Triratna Buddhist Order. The Order is neither monastic, nor lay, but simply Buddhist. Order members attempt to live out the Buddha’s teachings of Wisdom and Compassion as the primary commitment of their lives, whatever the particular circumstances of those lives may be.
