Shraddharocani is a Sanskrit name meaning she who is radiant with faith.
Recently Ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order, she lives in Thames New Zealand with her husband and is involved in many aspects of the local community.

Each year for seven years, she organised a Nourishing Body & Mind weekend to raise funds for a school, which lies near the border of Tibet
The school was established in Kalimpong, Northern India, in 1954 by Dhardo Rimpoche, a Tibetan Monk who wanted to provide a basic education for the children of some of the poorest Tibetan refugee families.

Shraddharocani now translates Sangharakshita – the contemporary English Buddhist and founder of the Triratna Buddhist Order and Movement – into Japanese. She feels deeply that Sangharakshita’s exposition of Buddhism will be attractive to those looking for a refreshing reemphasis of The Buddha’s original teaching and practices for modern Japan.

Shraddharocani will be in Japan for 9 weeks, helping lead classes in meditation and Buddhism.

At the heart of this community is the Triratna Buddhist Order. The Order is neither monastic, nor lay, but simply Buddhist. Order members attempt to live out the Buddha’s teachings of Wisdom and Compassion as the primary commitment of their lives, whatever the particular circumstances of those lives may be.
